SPEEDO FAST.SKIN has been developed using biomimetics: the extraction of good design from nature. This means its features are based on those that make the shark an extremely fast mover in water. The fabric mimics the v-shaped ridges, called dermal denticles. These make the shark cut through water by sucking it closer to the body and so reducing drag.
